MAE’s Legal Services

Morgan English is a lawyer and a local artist who understands your work and goals.

With a Master’s in Media and Journalism and a law degree focusing on Art Law, Morgan is well-equipped to help. She has been featured on the news discussing artificial intelligence and regularly shares her knowledge at conferences and meetings for artists.

She has worked with influencers on TikTok, negotiating deals to have their artwork sold on products in retail stores. She has consulted with artists to ensure their next big project does not infringe, and she regularly hosts workshops as an expert in art law around Denver, Colorado.

As an artist, she has success featuring her work locally in museums, galleries, and restaurants around Denver. Globally, she has been featured at Art Basel, SXSW, and at the Venice Biennale in Italy.

“If you don’t have experience in it you can easily infringe.”

Morgan English sits down with Denver 7 to talk about how artists can avoid infringing on copyrights when using AI tools.

“Copyright law is what is going to really drive whether these databases and outputs are really legal”

Morgan sits down with Colorado Public Radio at Real Talk to discuss the application of copyright law to artificial intelligence.

  • “I cannot thank Morgan enough for her guidance and support, I needed her help with a case that I initially felt was way over my head. As a young independent artist it can feel overwhelming trying to defend your work when it has been taken advantage of. With her services I was able to learn so much as far as copyright law and art. She not only helps artists but educates them and provides them with tools to use for their future. .”

    Bailey Elder, Visual Artist

  • “I have been privileged to watch Morgan work and play at the intersection of art, GenAI, and law. She integrated these three concepts into a single seamless presentation to the American Bar Association Section of Science and Technology Annual Dinner in 2023. She brought us all along with her as she explored the confluence brilliantly employing ideas and language from Shakespeare to ChatGPT."

Bob Keatinge, former member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Business Committee on the Arts, and former chair of the ABA Section of Science and Technology, Committee on Science and Technology for the Public Good.

  • “We are so lucky to have Morgan creating, working and giving back to Colorado’s arts community. As a visual artist and professional attorney, Morgan English brings both skills and expertise to bear to advance our creative sector. She is an extraordinary teacher who can translate complex legal concepts so they are relatable and applicable. Morgan approaches her work with compassion, thoughtfulness, generosity, and dedication. CBCA and Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA) have been honored and delighted to work with Morgan in a variety of ways, and we look forward to many more opportunities in the future.”
